An Irish Winter
Since March 2023 I've been working in AI in a freelance capacity for a well known multinational tech company. There I've been at the cutting edge of the industry, training a large language model (LLM) in conversational English and helping develop AI tools for broad use. As a senior member of the global team I'm responsible for assisting new recruits and seasoned team members with the finer points of the idiosyncratic rules the LLM is trained on. The work is complex and rewarding. The skills I've developed there have a broad range of applications, as does the knowledge I've acquired working in this cutting edge industry.
I'm a published author, with my debut novel An Irish Winter released in June 2020 through Choir Press, and the sequel, A Cornish Spring released in early 2024. I've also written non-fiction, most notably Plenty of Time: 20 Years of Chilmark Cricket Club. The last two titles were published through my communications company, Sweeney & King.
I've also worked regularly as a freelance writer, composing press releases for a London based film editing company, contributing sports articles for local newspapers and maintaining digital content for e-commerce websites.
